Board Le Dumont-‘Urville for the vast unspoiled expanses of Canada and the Northeast American coast. You will enjoy a magnificent sail into the Saint Lawrence river to Quebec. Then cruise through the dramatic fjord of Saguenay, where many marine mammals have taken refuge, and on to the Canadian Maritimes – Percé, and the colorful, historic towns of Nova Scotia, before visiting charming Bar Harbor, Martha’s Vineyard, Provincetown and Gloucester, the oldest port in the United States.

  1. Day 1 OCTOBER 24, 2022 – MONTREAL - EMBARK

    Montreal, Canada’s second-largest city, is a warm and cosmopolitan metropolis. Situated on the eponymous river island, it is home to a multitude of districts, each as unique as the other. Set off to discover Old Montreal, most of which is declared a historic area.

    NOTE:  We highly recommend arriving at least one day early to see more of Montreal, and avoid the potential complications associated with travel delays.

  2. Day 2 OCTOBER 25, 2022 - QUÉBEC CITY

    The capital of La Belle Province sits at the confluence of the St Charles River and the Gulf of St Lawrence in south-east Canada. Founded in the 17th century, the city still has an encircling wall, a historic civil engineering work and the only one of its kind remaining in North America. You will love the postcard-perfect stone houses of Old Quebec, the historic district listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

  3. Days 3 OCTOBER 26, 2022 - SAILING SAGUENAY RIVER - TADOUSSAC

    As it joins the Saint-Lawrence, the Saguenay River forms a spectacular fjord boasting extraordinarily differing landscapes. The Quebec village of Tadoussac stands at the confluence of the Saguenay River and the Gulf of Saint-Lawrence, in south-east Canada. The village is bright with multicolored houses nestling in an emerald- green pine forest.

     

  4. Day 4 OCTOBER 27, 2022 - AT SEA

    During your day at sea, make the most of the many services and activities on board. Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the spa or stay in shape in the fitness center. Depending on the season, let yourself be tempted by the swimming pool or a spot of sunbathing. This day without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, to do some shopping in the boutique or to meet the PONANT photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship’s upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observe marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest and entertainment.

  5. Day 5 OCTOBER 28, 2022 - PERCÉ

    Percé is one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec. Apart from the attractions of the town itself, Percé owes its reputation to its proximity to the famous rock of the same name that rises opposite it in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Along with the neighboring Bonaventure Island, this rocky outcrop forms a national park famed for its natural, historical and geological heritage.

  6. Day 6 OCTOBER 29, 2022 - CAP-AUX-MEULES, MAGDALEN ISLANDS

    The village of Cap-aux-Meules remains a peaceful location and is ideal for exploring preserved nature. It offers privileged access to many sites renowned for their natural and historic heritage, such as the village of Havre-Aubert which is a member of the Most Beautiful Villages of Quebec.

  7. Day 7 OCTOBER 30, 2022 - LOUISBOURG

    Louisbourg, the former capital from when it was named Ile Royale, is home to one of the country’s most significant historical sites: the symbolic and beautifully restored Fortress of Louisbourg.

  8. Day 8 OCTOBER 31, 2022 - LUNENBURG

    The picturesque port of Lunenburg will leave an indelible impression. You can admire the colonial architecture of this fishing village while strolling along the streets studded with brightly colored houses. The enchanting charm of the old town has earned it UNESCO World Heritage status.

     

  9. Day 9 NOVEMBER 1, 2022 – AT SEA

    Bar Harbor is a seaside resort for aristocrats of another era, this former fishing port, founded in the early 18th Century reveals an atmosphere that is both chic and refined, and over time has become the ideal destination for romantics and lovers of open spaces.

  11. Day 11 NOVEMBER 3, 2022 - PROVINCETOWN

    At the far end of Cape Cod is where you’ll find this hidden little New England village. Its elongated bay offers pristine, sandy beaches. The Provincetown museum commemorates the history and way of life of the Mayflower Pilgrims.

  12. Day 12 NOVEMBER 4, 2022 - OAK BLUFFS, MARTHA'S VINEYARD

    The gentle lifestyle of this incomparable setting has been attracting American presidents for several decades. Oak Bluffs will surprise you first and foremost by its Gingerbread Houses. You’ll certainly enjoy a visit to the Flying Horses, the oldest wooden carousel in the United States.

  13. Day 13 NOVEMBER 5, 2022 - GLOUCESTER - DISEMBARK

Gloucester is a coastal town in Massachusetts, founded on the site named “Le Beau port” by Samuel de Champlain in 1604. The oldest fishing port on America’s eastern seaboard enjoyed a prosperous economy.

RESTAURANTS

As it is an essential part of French culture, gastronomy will naturally have pride of place aboard this new ship.

  • To the back of Deck 4, you will find a 260 m² panoramic restaurant which can accommodate all of our passengers in a single sitting. Designed differently to that on our other ships, this dining area, which opens onto the outside, will have a buffet of salads, desserts and cheeses at your disposal. Our discreet and attentive crew will provide table service for hot meals.
  • In a relaxed atmosphere, an outdoor grill on Deck 3 will serve grilled meats with a variety of salads and desserts.

PUBLIC AREAS

LE DUMONT-D’URVILLE has many common areas that are designed and equipped to meet all of your needs while preserving the intimacy of each passenger.

A 140 m² reception area includes:

  • A reception/concierge desk,
  • An excursions desk,
  • The ship’s administrative services,
  • The sales office, manned by our Guest Relations Officer,
  • Our 50 m² boutique which sells clothing, jewelry, beauty products, postcards and various accessories,

A new hydraulic platform with adjustable height provides:

  • Easier Zodiac embarkation and disembarkation for expeditions,
